Farrokh Jazizadeh, Ph.D.

Dr. Farrokh Jazizadeh is an Associate Professor at the Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the founding Director of INFORM Lab at Virginia Tech. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Informatics for Intelligent Built Environment, MSc in Computer Science, and MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has also received BSc and MSc from IUT and AUT in Iran, respectively.

Tianzhi is a Ph.D. student at the Charles Edward Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He joined INFORM Lab in Fall 2019​. He has received his BSc in Engineering Management from Tongji University in 2019 and his MSc in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2020. His research focuses on human-building interaction for data-driven building-assisted human engagement.

Mostafa is a Ph.D. student at the Charles Edward Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He received his M.Sc. in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University in 2020 and B.Sc. Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2017. His research focuses on distributed energy management and energy network modeling at the city scale. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books, listening to music, and hiking.

Yueyan is a Ph.D. student at the Charles Edward Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a research interest in applying advanced information and communication technologies in the lifecycle of building and infrastructure systems to build a more intelligent and sustainable living environment. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Southeast University, China in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Her previous research focused on steel structures. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and singing.
